Eskimo Torso

Eskimo people, Punuk Culture (800 - 1400 A.D.), Alaska

The charm has pyrite (fool's gold) eyes.

4" (h) x 2" (w) x 1" (d)

There is a pierced hole for suspension at the bottom left side of the torso. There is some loss to the nose which seems to add, rather than detract, from the force of the carving.  The pyrite eyes are very effective in this powerful miniature sculpture.
